Adjustment of Contribution Base for Social Insurance in Shenzhen
According to the statistics data released by Shenzhen Statistic Bureau, the monthly average salary for the year of 2018 in Shenzhen is RMB9,309. Starting from July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, the contribution base for social insurance in Shenzhen will be adjusted to RMB9,309 accordingly. The average salary of the on-post employees working for urban companies in Guangdong Province for the year 2018 is RMB 6,338.
Shenzhen adjusted the minimum and maximum contribution base for social insurance recently. The following base standard has been effective from 1 July 2019.
1. The maximum contribution base for pension insurance and Employment Injury Insurance shall not exceed 300% of the last year’s average salary of the on-post employees working for urban companies in Guangdong Province, which will be adjusted to RMB19,014 from July 2019 (i.e.RMB6,338 × 300%).
2. The minimum contribution base for medical insurance shall be RMB5,585；The maximum contribution base shall be RMB27,927 from July 2019.
3. The maximum contribution base for maternity insurance shall be RMB27,927 from July 2019.
